Prayer: Water Walk — A Prayer in Solidarity with Water Carriers (Food Fast 2012-2013)
Description:
Participants will walk in physical solidarity with all people who haul water long distances. They will pray and reflect on how Catholic social teaching informs our call to ensure all people have clean water and sanitation. . (Use the song “Come to the Water” from the Food Fast Playlist with this prayer service.)
Note: Use “Reflection: Prayer Station Banners” before this prayer. The banners from the reflection will be used during this prayer. Also, this prayer is meant to follow “Activity: Water, Water Everywhere” and “Simulation: Carry My Bucket.”
